In this world, there are not enough good things said or acknowledged-----so, we want to reach out and say Thanks!"

"I can't believe how you have inspired my SENIOR! You have been a lifesaver!"

- Angela Quinn, mother of Colin, Richmond, VA

"I just wanted to thank you so very much for all the help you have provided my son in Spanish II this year. Since you have been working with him, his grade has gone from an F to a C and will likely get higher!!!

He has told me several times how happy he is to go to class now because he understands what's going on. He is so excited about his grades. Your help and his improvement in Spanish has really boosted his self-esteem and for a child with ADHD and who is LD in reading and math, this is very important.

I am especially grateful for all these reasons but also because passing Spanish II will mean he will not lose a class credit toward his graduation requirements and will bring his GPA up. You have a great personality for this job, and we really appreciate your flexibility and devotion. Please feel free to show this letter on your website."

- Pat Femiani, mother of Joe, Richmond, VA

"Thanks so much Kasey! Courtney is REALLY enjoying working with you! She looks forward to the sessions and has great comments on how her overall comprehension of Spanish is improving.

She told me the other day "I can't believe I'm really starting to know what I'm doing, it feels great!". I can't thank you enough for the huge impact you've had on her over such a short period of time."

- Kim Sumulong, mother of Courtney,
Richmond, VA

"I got Amy's grades this morning! You were very successful!
First semester "D - "
4th nine weeks "B"
Second Semester "C+" (missed a B by ONE point!)
Her grade went up 13 points! Thanks you for ALL you did."

- JoAnne Z, Proud Mother of Amy,
Goochland High School

"I just thought I would update you on Codie... They got their interims and she got an "A" in Spanish, what a big difference since the very first interim and that was an "F". Tutoring was one of the best education investments I have made, and the rewards are so great. "

- Sandy Gordon, mother of Codie,
Monocan High School

"Kasey, Thanks for helping Jake over the summer. He enjoyed the classes and feels much more confident with the language. He was not looking forward to "summer school" but, you made it a fun and rewarding experience for him. Thanks again!"

- Margie Mason - Midlothian, VA

"Kasey, We want to thank you for all your help that you have given our son. It is amazing that last year when he started with you he was failing Spanish and now he has a "B"!

We saw an improvement immediately. Our son has enjoyed working with you and has felt very comfortable. We can not thank you enough! Please feel free to use me if you ever need a reference. "

- Jane Lawrence - Chesterfied, VA

"Kasey, Nathan has really enjoyed having you as his tutor. Thank you so much for all you have done for him. You have brought him up from FAILING to PASSING and he could never have done it without you!"

- Sandy Dryden - Midlothian, VA

"Kasey, I wanted let you know that we just found out Ben got a 97 on his Spanish exam!! Thanks so much for all the help you gave him, I know he couldn't have done it without you."

- Jennifer Capocelli - Richmond, VA

"Kasey Hammond was recommended to us by my son's Spanish teacher at Trinity Episcopal School. I contacted her toward the end of the summer and she began to work with him that week. She is so excited to share her love of the Spanish language. She has a way of working with young people that is both motivating and challenging.

Although Ryan struggled with Spanish in the past, Kasey helped him to believe in his ability to master a foreign language. His grades improved dramatically!"

- Debbie Flora - Richmond, VA

Hola!

If your child is struggling with Spanish right now and needs help... it's important to know a little about who will be tutoring them, right?

Well, here it goes!

I'm a 1994 graduate of Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond and a 1998 graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

I currently reside in Midlothian with my husband, Ken, our two feisty cats, and one crazy dog named Zep. I received my B.A. in Modern Foreign Languages with my major in Spanish and a focus in Latin American studies.

Your child will benefit from the nine years of my experience in teaching and tutoring Spanish to young people as well as teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to Spanish speaking children and adults in both the Richmond and Harrisonburg communities.

I am committed to continued learning and development for both myself and others. Even though learning another language can be challenging, the rewards are immeasurable for your child. No one is too young nor too old to start the process of learning another language. (and the sooner, the better!)

Is Your Child A Good Fit For My Tutoring Services?

I love working with students of all ages and helping them to build a strong foundation in the Spanish language in their first years of Spanish. The first year is a critical one because it builds the base of the language knowledge, and students will have to rely on this foundation throughout their Spanish speaking careers.

It is also the introduction of a new language, and it needs to be something that students enjoy and are excited to learn. Often times if the student is struggling, it can be very discouraging for them as well as affect their feelings toward wanting to learn another language!

Thanks for visiting my website, and I look forward to meeting you!
